questions, answered
Looking for the catch?
Smart. You're one honest page away from deciding. Here's everything — including the parts other brands mumble.
the melatonin question
Doesn't melatonin make you groggy?
The groggy-morning and vivid-dream stories are real — and they're a dose story. Typical gummies pack 5–10 mg. The Nightly by afterhrs contains 1 mg, deliberately low: enough to support falling asleep, low enough to respect your morning.* 1 mg, because more isn't better.
Why not melatonin-free?
Some brands market melatonin-free as a feature, and that's a fair choice. But the issue was never melatonin — it was the dose. At 1 mg you get the support without the morning tax. We kept it because it earns its place.
Can I take it with HRT or other medications?
If you take HRT or any medication, check with your clinician before starting — some medications can affect how your body handles melatonin. We'd rather you ask than guess.
Is it habit-forming?
Melatonin at this dose isn't known to create dependence. The Nightly by afterhrs supports your own wind-down rather than sedating you — and your evenings stay yours either way.
results, honestly
When will I notice something?
Honestly: sleep and wind-down, about a week.* Skin, around eight weeks.* Hair and nails, longer — months. Anyone promising faster is selling something. We'd rather under-promise and keep you for years.
Is collagen even backed by anything?
A lot of collagen products earn that skepticism — sprinkle doses under a big promise. We use 5,000 mg of hydrolyzed marine collagen peptides — a real dose, not label decoration — plus vitamin C, which supports normal collagen formation.* The doses are printed on the front of the tub because we have nothing to hide.
What exactly is in it?
The short version: 5,000 mg hydrolyzed marine collagen peptides, 1 mg melatonin, and vitamin C — with every dose printed on the front of the tub. The complete panel lives on the label and on the product page.
Contains fish (marine collagen). Not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, because of the melatonin.
the ritual
How do I take it?
One scoop in cold water or warm milk, 30–60 minutes before bed. It tastes like dark tart cherry and vanilla — adult, not candy.
Sweetened with what?
Monk fruit. No erythritol, no sugar.
Is it vegan?
No — the collagen is marine, which is also why the label says "contains fish". Everything else is right there on the tub.
subscription & shipping
How does the subscription work?
Monthly at $59, or quarterly at $149 — the better deal: one delivery, three tubs, about $1.66 a night. Pause or cancel anytime from your account. No calls, no hoops. Founding members lock their price for as long as they stay subscribed.
Is it okay to take every night?
That's the design — one ritual, nightly. At 1 mg, melatonin isn't known to create dependence, and the rest of the formula is closer to food than pharmacy: collagen, glycine, minerals. If you have a medical condition, ask your clinician first.
Where do you ship from, and how fast?
From our US warehouse in Michigan. Most US orders arrive within 2–3 days.
What if it's not for me?
